HOW TO MAKE SUNDRIED TURKEY BERRY FRYUMS (SUNDAIKKAI VATHAL KUKZHAMBU)

(SUNDRIED TURKEYBERRY  FRYUMS)

     In this post learn how to prepare Sundaikkai Vathal Kuzhambu (Sundried Turkeyberry  Fryums Gravy).  It can be prepared with available home ingredients.  If you crave for spicy dish for lunch then it will be perfect for your cravings.  Am damn sure you will like this recipe.  This is homemade Sundakkai Vathal (Sundried Turkey berry Fryums).   Sundried Turkey Berry are very good for health.  We eat at Wedding and other functions, and Restaurants.   Let me know how much you like this 


HOW WILL PREPARED TURKEY BERRY FRYUMS:

Turkey berry fryums can be prepared by processing.  First clean the turkey berry and transfer to a bowl.  To that add Curd or Yogurt and salt, stir well.  Then keep them in direct Sunlight for 10 days.  After 10 days it will became dried.  Now you can store them in a container for long term use.



INGREDIENTS:


Turkey berry fryums  - 100grams.

Onion -  Medium size 2, Smal size 10

Curry leaves - 1 Sprig

Tamarind Extract - 1cup

Turmeric powder  - 1/2 tspn

Red Chilli powder - 1tbspn

Salt - As Required

Water - As Required

Fenugreek Seeds - 1tbsp

 Onion vadagam - 1tbspn

Oil - 5tbspn

Garlic - 10 cloves

Red chilli - 4

Bengal gram - 1tbspn

Black pepper corns - 1tbspn

Coriander Seeds - 1tbspn

Cumin Seeds - 1tbspn

Tomatoes - 2

METHODS:

1) In a preheated pan, dry roast the cumin seeds,  Bengal gram, Coriander seeds, Black pepper corns, Fenugreek seeds one by one.  Then transfer it to the plate and let cool for few minutes.

2) In the same pan add some oil. and saute the onions and tomatoes separately.  Now transfer the dry ingredients, onion, tomatoes to the mixie jar and grind them to a fine paste.

3) Now fry the Turkeyberry fryums in oil then transfer to a plate and set aside.

4) In a Skillet add the oil, once hot add the onion vadagam and saute it for a minute then add  Fenugreek seed.  Saute until the raw smell gone.

5) Now add in garlic, curry leaves, red chilli, onion and tomatoes.  Cook until the onion and tomatoes becomes soft.

6) After than add turmetic powder, red chilli powder and salt.  Mix uniformly and cook well.

7) Now  add Turkeyberry fryums.

8) Then add paste and saute well.  Once cooked add tamarind extractg and close the lid and bring them to boil. 

9) Once boiled add Sundried Turkeyberry fryums (Sundaikkai vadagam) and stir well for a min. 

10)Then turn off the stove and transfer to the bowl.  Serve with boiled rice and enjoy.


STEP BY STEP IMAGES:

* Start with dry roast the ingredients as given in instructions. 






* To the same pan add oil and saute the onions and tomatoes separately.






* After the roasted ingredients cool down transfer them to the mixie jar and frind them     to a fine powder.  Also add the sauteed onions and tomatoes grind them to a fine           paste.



* In a pre - heated pan add some oil and fry the Sundried Turkeyberryfryums                   (Sundaikkai vadagam).

* In a deep skillet add some oil and add vengaya vadagam,  and fenugreek seeds.  Sautel well.





* Now add red chillies, garlic, curry leaves, onion and tomatoes.  Cook well.






* Once cooked add turmeric powder, chilli powder , Then add grinded paste and stir well.







* Now  add Turkeyberry fryums.




* Now add tamarind extract and stir uniformly.  Close the lid and cook for few minutes.  







 When oil begin to separate turn off the flame and transfer to a bowl.  Serve with white rice and enjoy.
