JAVVARISI  VADAGAM RECIPE  /   SAGO FRYUMS


     Hi Friends ... Hope your day is Going Good.  Stay safe as COVID - 19 Spreading all over the world . Coronavirus 💥 has killed a lot of people and you are still alive today. Use few seconds and thank God for the gift of life.


    Today recipe is sago fryums / javvarisi vadagam.  It is prepared using javvarisi.  Ingredients can be very less but here the important thing is consistency. If consistency is not good the recipe won't come properly. Every summer my mom prepared this vadagam. This vadagam can be had as Variety rice, snacks.  Store it it an airtight container keep it for 1 year.  Do try this recipe and share your feedback with us.















                                         










                 






INGREDIENTS:


Javvarisi -  1cup  (Medium sized)

Salt -  As requred to taste

Green chilli -  3

Cumin seeds  -  1tbspn

Asafoetida  - 1tsp

Food colours  (Optional)

Water  - 5 cups



PRE - PREPARATION:

Soak the sago for 5-8 hours in water   ( 2cups of water).  


      

*  In a mixie jar add the Green chilli grind them to a fine paste, if need add some water and grind.


PREPARATION:

1. Heat a pressure pan and add 3 cups of water and brings to boil then add soaked sago cook for 2 minutes.

2. After that add cumin seeds, and salt and allow to cook for 1 minute keep the flame in medium low.

3. Now it is time to add the grinded green chilli paste. and allow to cook for 2minutes. To sago mixture and stir well.

4. Then finally add Asafoetida and cook for about 10-15 minutes.

5. The consistency should be not thick or thin but pouring consistency.😄😄 (look like it shiny).

6. Now sago mixture is ready. Its divided them to  3 portion. One  portion is plain and to another  2 portion add food colour.

7. In a washed white cotton cloth and pour these in circles.

8. Let it  dry for 2 days.

9. After 2 days sprinkle some water at the back side of cloth and to pull out the vadagams.

10. Then allow to dry for one day.  Until both sides of the vadagam are well dried

11. Now It's Ready  sago vadagam.  Store  it and airtight container. 

12. Heat a pan with oil for deep frying.

13. When it is hot gently add the prepared sago vadagam in the oil. Fry the vadagam until the shuuu sound completely. 

14.Serve with any variety rice .

Heat a pan and add water


Once water boiled add  sago or javvarisi


Now add cumin seed and add  salt


         

Now add green chilli paste and allow to cook for 2 minutes


After that finally add  asafoetida, To sago mixture and stir well




Add  food colours


Divided to 3 portion


One is plain and to  another 2 portion add food colour





In a washed white cotton cloth and pour these in circles

 

  

Let it dry for 2 days (Sunlight)



After 2 days sprinkle some water at the back side of cloth and to pull out the vadagam



   

Then allow to dry for one day turn over the circles.Once well dried Its Ready for sago vadagam. Store it and airtight container.


Heat a pan with oil for deep frying 



Then add the prepared sago vadagam in the oil fry the vadagam untill the 😊😊shuuu sound completely 






SERVE WITH ANY VARIETY RICE
