PALKOZHUKKATTAI
Hi friends, Hope you all safe. Due to lockdown we may feel bored but don't lose hope and your happiness. Do something that make you happy or learn new things. Spend time with your family and prepare new dishes for them. Today i am gonna share simple and yummy Lockdown Receipe. As we can prepare this dessert with available home ingredients.
Here I have share step by step photos for clear understanding. Do try this and let me know how you liked this dish. Stay safe and healthy.

INGREDIENTS :
* Boiled Rice - 1/2 kg
* Jaggery - 1/2 kg
* Grated coconut - 1 cup
* Cardamom - 1/2 tbspn
* Water - As required
* Ghee - (Optional)
PRE - PREPARATION :
1. Soak the rice in water for atleast 4 to 5 hours. After that by add very less amount of water grind them to fine dough. It should be thick. Dough should not be sticky or in pouring consistency.
2. Meanwhile heat the pan with half cup of water. Once boiled add powder jaggery. Cook until the jaggery melts completely. Then filter it in a bowl to remove any dirt.
PREPARATION :
- In a pressure pan boil the water. Once it begins to boil add the grated coconut.
- In a murukku mould fill the dough. Press the mould to make small cylindrical shaped dough in the pressure pan.
- When the cylindrical dough was cooked completely.
- At the time add melted jaggery and mix well. Keep the flame in medium and stir frequently.
- Once done add and powdered cardamom and give it a good mix. If available At last we can add ghee. Turn off the flame and let it cool for few minutes. Then transfer to a bowl to serve.
STEP BY STEP IMAGES :
1) First Transfer the soaked rice to a mixie jar and grind them to thick dough, by adding less amount of water.
2) Heat the pan with water. When it begins to boil add jaggery and let it melts completely.
3) In a pressure pan add water and brings to boil. Once boiled add grated coconut.
4) Using the murukku mold make cylindrical shaped dough in pressure plan.
5) Once cooked completely. Now add melted jaggery and mix uniformly.
6) Finally add cardamom and trun off the flame. You also can add ghee.
7) Now palkozhukkattai is ready to serve.
