HOW TO MAKE MEDU VADA / URAD VADA / ULUNTHU VADAI


MEDU VADA  / URAD VADA  /  ULUNTHU  VADAI 


     Hi friends.. Today  I am going to share evening time snacks recipe.  That is south indian special "Medu vada" (Soft Vada).  Vada can be eat with Sambar or coconut chutney as side dish.  Mostly in restaurant people eat vada with pongal as morning breakfast.  While preparing this vada in home Sometimes it won't comes properly like restaurant style.  Because, they will add semolina to get crispy vada.  This is the small tips for prepare soft and fluffy vadas. 




                                          









PREPARATION : 


1. Wash and soak the bengal gramin water for 4 hours.

2. After that add the soaked black gram, semolina, green chilli and ginger in grinder or mixie jar and grind it to fine batter.  While grinding sprinkle some water.  Do not add more water.

3. Once done, transfer the batter to a bowl and add onion, curry leaves also add salt requried to taste.

4. Meanwhile, heat the oil for deep frying.  Take the banana leaf apply some oil and make doughnut shape from vada batter then gently add it in oil.

5. Fry the vada in medium low flame and Cook both sides until turns golden brown.  When the vada is crispy outside and soft inside.  It is ready to serve.



TIPS :


Use white urad da (skin removed black gram or urad dal ).  While grinding this white urad dal it will be fluffy.

When urad dal grinded completelyl add semolina and drive in pulse mode and then switch off the grinder.

Do not add excess water.  Otherwise water.  Otherwise batter will be sticky and won't comes to proper shape.

To make round shape vada you can use banana leaf or foil sheet.

For every time Apply water on your palms so that it won't stick on it
