Laddu is sphere shaped sweet, which is from indian cusine. It is made of using Gram flour, sugar, ghee and dry fruits. In India, we can found laddu in every bakery shops. Also it will be prepared for god as an offerings. Laddu’s love have been spread all over india. But the preparation may slightly vary according to the regions. You need special type of laddle to make “Boondhi”. It will be available in vessel selling shops. I have shared tips and tricks to get perfect texture. If you follow the steps you will get the perfect shape at the first attempt itself. Do try this sweet for diwali and spread Happiness.
HOW TO MAKE BOONDHI LADDU
Laddu is one of the perfect sweet for festival time, as it don't take your valuable time for more. From small children to elder pleople everyone's favourite is laddu. So do try this in your kitchen and impress your family members. While preparing this laddu important thing to remember is one sting consistency of sugar syrup. - 1 kg Gram flour
- Water As required consistency for preparing boodhi batter.
- One pinch Salt.
- 1/2 lit Oil
- 1 kg Sugar
- 250 ml Water for prepare sugar syrup
- 1 Pinch Colour powder
- 3 tbsp Cashews
- 3 tbsp Raisins
- 1/2 tbsp Cardamom powder
Lets begin by preparing boondhi :In a mixing bowl add gram flour and water to a required consistency (Dhosa batter consistency) and mix well. Add salt to balance the sweetness. Heat oil in a kadai. Put a drop of batter in the oil to check whether it is hot or not. Now, pour the batter in laddle, it will pour as droplets. Keep the flame to medium.
Do not overcook. When the oil gets subside, transfer boondhi to another plate. Repeat the same for remaining batches.
To prepare sugar syrup :Add sugar in a pan to that add 250ml of waterr. Lets it boil until it reaches one string consistency. Once done turn off the flame. You can add colour powder but is is optional.
Take a portion of boondhi in mixie jar and grind it to puise mode for one time. This is for shaping the loaddu to perfect shape.
Roast the cashews and raisins in ghee.
Now, add the boondhi, roasted cashews, raisins TO SUGAR SYRUP AND MIX UNIFORMLY.
Take small portion of boondhi and make it to spphere shaped laddus.
TIPS :
1. Batter should be in correct (Dhosa batter ) consistency.
2 Take equal portion of gram flour and sugar. So that it will be easy to shape the laddus.
3. To find the correct consistency of sugar, drop the syrup in a plate filled with water. If it is not dissolved then it is correct consistency.
LETS BEGIN BY PREPARING BOONDHI :
Add gram flour.
Add salt.
Add water.
Like dhosa batter consistency.

Heat oil in a kadai. Pour the batter in laddle.

It will pour as droplets.


Don’t overcook.

TO PREPARE SUGAR SYRUP :
Add sugar.

Add water.

Add colour bowder.

Let it boil until it reaches one string consistency.


Mix well.

Take a portion of boondhi in mixie jar and grind it to pulse mode for one time or two time.
Add ghee.
Add cashews.

Add raisins.

Now add the roasted cashews and raisins.
Add cardamom powder.

Take small portion of boondhi and make it to sphere shaped laddus.


NOW READY TO EAT DIVWALI SPECIAL BOONDHI LADOO.
